Snoop Dogg might have landed in hot water again. During his appearance on “Red Table Talk”, he mentioned Tupac Shakur in a not-so-shining light while defending his past use of misogynistic lyrics.

“It’s hard to let go of something that you’ve been accustomed to your whole life and something you’re really trying to work,” he said to Jada Pinkett and Willow Smith. “It used to be a time when my music was everything. But once you become a grown man and you realize that your words have power and you have power, you have to pull back.”

He then recalled how he and the late icon once got into a disagreement when he wanted to transition from solely making gangster rap. “He was like he wanted me to stay gangster and I was like, Cuz, I got a baby on the way, I just beat a murder case. I have a lot to live for.’ He had no kids,” he continued, as Jada Pinkett Smith chimed in to say that she and Tupac would get into similar argument. Then, according to her, the deceased rap star would try to explain what he meant with his usage of “b***h” and “h**” in reference to women.

“I’m not gon’ try to explain to you,” Snoop responded. “I felt like at the beginning, that was a word that was brainwashed into me and I misused it. I just kept throwing it out there and I seen it came back to me with the [Gayle King] thing.”

Those who watched the interview were quick to blast Snoop. “Hating Snoop more and more,” one said, as another added, “N***a just can’t keep Pac name out his mouth! He can’t get over the fact Pac didn’t f**k with him no more smh.” There was also one who said, “The f**k pac got to do with this snoop lost his dam mind.”
